star-christmasAbout Oshi

Learn what Oshi is, how we connect fans directly to anime creators, and what it means to be a production committee member.

Oshi is a platform where anime fans participate directly in productions, accessing exclusive content, earning rewards, and supporting the creators behind the shows you love.

How Oshi works

Animation is a craft. Teams pour years into worlds that live for 24 minutes at a time. That work deserves to be seen, not just consumed.

Oshi exists to open that door. For GATE 2, we're not just a sponsor or partner. We hold the master licensing rights, which means we're responsible for streaming, merchandise, marketing, and distribution. We serve on the production committee alongside the animation studio and publisher.

That position gives us direct access to content that rarely reaches fans: storyboards, character designs, key animation frames, director commentary. And it means we can offer things other platforms can't, like your name in the actual anime credits.

When you join, you're not watching from the outside. You get to see how the anime is made, support the creators directly, and become part of the production journey.

Participation ranges from $5 to $10,000. Your rank determines your rewards and access.

Fans already go above and beyond for the anime they love. Now, for the first time, the production team can recognize it.

This isn't a streaming service. You're not just buying merch. You're joining the production journey while the anime is being made.

The name comes from oshikatsu (推し活): the Japanese concept of actively supporting what you love. That's what we built Oshi for.

Earn rewards for participating

Anime fans already do incredible things for the shows they love: fan art, cosplay, community building, word of mouth that reaches people no ad campaign ever could. Creators notice. In Japan, oshikatsu (推し活) is recognized as one of the most meaningful forms of support a fan can give.

But until now, there's been no official way for the people making the anime to recognize those fans directly. In gaming, that's already changing. Programs like HoYoverse's creator incentives for Genshin Impact and Riot Games' community content initiatives have shown what happens when studios formally recognize the fans who champion their work. Anime has celebrated its fans in its own ways, but never at the scale or structure that gaming has introduced. Inspired by that model, Oshi is bringing that same energy to anime production. As a production committee member, we can connect the creators behind GATE 2 directly with the community that supports them.

Through Oshi Membership Rewards (OMR), the community members who show up, participate, and help GATE 2 reach new audiences are recognized for it. Complete quests, climb the Merit Leaderboard, and help spread the word. Officers (Lieutenant rank and above) unlock exclusive questlines with additional reward opportunities.
