hand-heartMerit Quests

Merit Points are earned through quests and community engagement. They complement Valor Points (which are earned through contributions) and give every fan a way to climb the leaderboard, earn recognition, and become eligible for Oshi Membership Rewards.

How quests work

Quests are activities that earn you Merit Points. Some are one-time tasks (like following an account), while others can be repeated (like referring new supporters).

Each quest awards a set number of Merit Points when completed. Your total Merit determines your position on the Merit Leaderboard.

💡 Merit Points cannot be purchased. They can only be earned through participation.

Launch quests

The following quests are available from the start of the GATE 2 campaign.

Social follows (one-time)

Follow the official accounts to earn Merit and stay connected to campaign updates.

  • Follow @gate_anime on X (GATE JP)

  • Follow @gate_animeEN on X (GATE EN)

  • Follow @oshikatsu_co on X (Oshi)

  • Join the Oshi Discord

Each follow quest can be completed once and awards a small Merit bonus.

Community comment (one-time)

Leave a message for the creators after making your contribution. This is your chance to share why you're supporting GATE 2 directly with the people making it.

Referrals

Refer new supporters to the GATE 2 campaign. The Merit you earn scales with the rank your referred supporter joins at.

Referral rewards are capped at 25 referrals per user.

What's coming

In Japan, oshikatsu (推し活), the act of championing what you love, is recognized as one of the most meaningful forms of fan support. Fans have always gone above and beyond for the anime they care about: creating art, building communities, spreading the word, showing up. Oshi's quest system is built to recognize that energy and give it a home.

As the campaign and production progress, new quest types will be introduced across three effort levels. The examples below represent the kinds of activities we're exploring. Not all of them will become quests, and others not listed here may be added. Merit rewards will scale to match the effort involved.

🎌 Many of these quest types, especially those tied to episode content and fan creation, will become available closer to the anime's airing so fans can engage with the story directly. You'll be notified as each quest launches.

Specific quests, Merit values, and availability will be announced as each becomes available.

Tips

Start with the basics. Social follows and the community comment are the quickest way to start earning Merit.

Use your referral link. Referrals are one of the highest-Merit activities available at launch, and both you and the person you refer earn points.

Check back regularly. New quests will be added throughout the campaign and into the anime's airing period.
