🎬GATE 2 Cameo Raffle

How the GATE 2 cameo raffle works: eligibility, draw schedule, how to enter, and what happens when you win a background character appearance in the anime.

Six fans are about to become part of anime history. We're opening up cameo spots in GATE 2: Tides of Conflict to the community. This is your shot at appearing as a background character in the anime.

How the Raffle Works

We're giving 6 cameo spots to the GATE 2 community through a weighted raffle. Your Valor determines your entries: every 1,000 Valor you've earned on the GATE 2 campaign counts as 1 raffle entry.

More Valor means better odds, but every eligible supporter has a real chance at landing a spot.

Here's how entries break down by tier:

Tier
Valor
Raffle Entries

Petty Officer

2,000

Chief Petty Officer

10,000

Lieutenant

25,000

Commander

Captain

We take a snapshot of all contributor standings before each draw. Your total Valor at the time of the snapshot determines your entries for that round.

Who's Eligible

To be eligible for the raffle, you need to be at Petty Officer tier or above on the GATE 2 campaign.

Petty Officer and above: You're in. You'll be automatically entered into every draw.

Seaman tier: Upgrade to Petty Officer or above on gate2.coarrow-up-right before the next draw date to become eligible.

New to GATE 2? Join the campaign at gate2.coarrow-up-right at Petty Officer or above before any draw date, and you'll be entered into that draw and all future rounds.

Draw Schedule

Winners are drawn in three rounds, with 2 winners per draw. All winners are announced on Discord, X/Twitter, and notified on the platform via the Deployment Order collectible and email (or via your signup platform if no email on file).

A snapshot of contributor standings is taken before each draw. If you earn more Valor or upgrade your tier before a snapshot, your new entry count applies to that draw and all future draws.

How it works when you win:

  1. We'll reach out to you. Winners receive the Deployment Order collectible on the platform. If you have an email on file, we'll also send you a notification email with the character reference submission form. If you signed up via X or Discord, we'll reach out on that platform.

  2. Submit within 48 hours to confirm your spot. Complete the character reference submission form with your desired character name, reference images, and details within 48 hours. Submitting the form confirms your spot. If we don't receive a submission within 48 hours, the unclaimed spot rolls over to the next draw. For example, if a Draw 1 winner doesn't submit by the deadline, Draw 2 will select an additional winner to fill that spot alongside the 2 new Draw 2 winners.

  3. Image submission deadlines. Draw 1 and Draw 2 winners have until April 8 to finalize any additional references. Draw 3 winners have until April 9 since the final draw is close to the production deadline.

This rapid-fire schedule gives us built-in windows to fill any unclaimed spots before the production deadline.

April 10, 2026 is the hard production deadline. Draw 1 and Draw 2 winners must submit references by April 8. Draw 3 winners must submit by April 9. This gives the production team the lead time they need, and these dates cannot be extended.

What Happens When You Win

Step 1: We reach out. Winners receive the Deployment Order collectible on the platform. We'll contact you with the character reference submission form via email if you have one on file, or through the platform you signed up with (X or Discord).

Step 2: Complete the submission form (within 48 hours). The form collects everything in one place: your desired character name, reference images, height, and styling notes. Submitting the form confirms your spot. If we don't receive your submission within 48 hours, the spot is redrawn. We'll also celebrate each winner publicly on Discord and X/Twitter.

Draw 1 and Draw 2 winners can update or add additional references until April 8. Draw 3 winners have until April 9. Here's what you'll need:

  • A waist-up photo of yourself, facing the camera

  • A three-quarter angle photo (turn slightly to one side so the camera captures both your front and side profile)

  • Your height (or your desired character height, within average human proportions)

  • Any styling notes: clothing preferences, accessories, hairstyle, expression, or how you'd like your character to appear

The submission form includes a character height sheet reference so you can see exactly what the production team works from. Your photos don't need to be professional. Clear selfies with good lighting work great.

What you can submit:

  • Your own likeness. Selfies, personal photos, or written descriptions of how you'd like to appear.

  • Your original character or VTuber model. If you have an original character (OC) or VTuber avatar that you created or own the rights to, you can submit it as your reference. By doing so, you confirm that you own the intellectual property and grant Oshi and the GATE 2 production team permission to use your design as creative reference for the anime. You retain full ownership of your original character or VTuber model. The in-anime character will be a new work created by Studio M2, inspired by your submission.

What you cannot submit: Images of copyrighted characters from other anime, manga, games, or other media that you do not own. The production team cannot reference designs that belong to another IP.

Step 3: The team brings you to life. Studio M2's production team designs a background character inspired by your submission, styled to fit the world of GATE 2. This is a creative process, and final character designs are entirely at the studio's creative discretion. Your in-anime appearance may differ from your reference. The goal is a character that feels at home in the GATE 2 world while being inspired by you.

Please note: Cameo appearances are non-speaking background roles. Your character's placement, screen time, and specific scene will depend on the opportunities available throughout the series. The production team will determine where and how your character appears to best fit the story.

After you submit, our team will follow up via email with updates on your character's progress.

Your Raffle Status

Petty Officer and above: You're automatically entered into every draw. No action needed. Our goal is to celebrate the fans and early supporters who've made this campaign possible. If you want to improve your odds, you can continue to climb the ranks or refer friends to join the campaign before the next snapshot.

Seaman tier: Upgrade to Petty Officer or above on gate2.coarrow-up-right before the next draw date to meet the minimum eligibility.

New recruits: Join the GATE 2 campaign at gate2.coarrow-up-right at Petty Officer or above before any draw date to be eligible for that round and all future draws.

Your entries carry across all remaining draws. Earning Valor before Draw 1 means your entries count for all three rounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I win more than once?

No. Once you've won a cameo spot, you're removed from future draws so more fans get a chance.

What if I upgrade my tier between draws?

Your new Valor count takes effect at the next snapshot. If you upgrade before Draw 2's snapshot, you'll have more entries for Draw 2 and Draw 3.

What happens if a winner doesn't respond?

If a winner doesn't complete the submission form within 48 hours, the unclaimed spot rolls over to the next draw. The next round will draw additional winners to fill any unclaimed spots from previous rounds alongside the regular 2 new winners. This keeps things moving and makes sure every cameo spot goes to a fan who's ready to participate.

What if I can't submit my reference images in time?

Draw 1 and Draw 2 winners must submit images by April 8, 2026. Draw 3 winners must submit by April 9, 2026. If you win but can't submit by your deadline, your spot may be reassigned. The production team needs lead time before the April 10 hard deadline, so these dates are firm.

What photos do I need to prepare?

A waist-up photo facing the camera, a three-quarter angle shot (slightly turned to one side), and your height. You can also include styling notes and preferences. The submission form includes a reference image so you'll know exactly what's needed. Clear selfies are fine.

Can I submit my original character or VTuber model instead of a selfie?

Yes, as long as you own the rights to the design. By submitting an original character or VTuber model, you confirm ownership and grant Oshi and the GATE 2 production team permission to use it as creative reference. You keep full ownership of your original design. The in-anime character is a separate work created by Studio M2, inspired by your submission.

Can I submit an image of a character from another anime or game?

No. We cannot accept copyrighted characters that you don't own. This includes characters from other anime, manga, games, or any media. The production team needs to create an original character that fits the GATE 2 world.

Will I get to approve my character design?

The production team will do their best to honor your reference, but final designs are at Studio M2's creative discretion. Your character will appear as a non-speaking background character, styled to fit the GATE 2 world. Even with a great reference, the final result may look different to match the anime's art style and setting. Placement, screen time, and scene selection depend on the opportunities available throughout the series.

How are winners announced?

Winners are celebrated on Discord and X/Twitter after each draw. Winners receive the Deployment Order collectible on the platform. We reach out with the submission form via email if available, or through your signup platform (X/Discord).

I'm at Seaman tier. Can I upgrade to become eligible?

Yes. Upgrade to Petty Officer or above on gate2.coarrow-up-right before the next snapshot date and you'll be entered into all remaining draws.

How will you contact me if I win?

If you have an email on file, we'll send you a notification email with the submission form link. If you signed up via X or Discord, we'll reach out on that platform. Either way, you'll also receive the Deployment Order collectible on the platform.
